Day 7- Firenze

Today we hot-footed it up to Firenze for a quick visit... We checked out the Uffizi gallery which was pretty impressive, tried out some local Ravioli (ricotta with mint!!) and then spent the afternoon walking through the streets (around Ponte Vecchio), checking out the general activities of tourists and locals (actually there probably wasn't a local in sight!!)...

Il Duomo was pretty spectacular as well... I soaked it in while sipping away on a granita limone in the Piazza del Duomo- not a bad set-up!!

Four O'Clock landed me back at the train station and I spotted some notices on telegraph poles nearby (probably advertising for a new flatmate or the like)... It's funny how little things like this which are fairly common-place, seem so much more interesting as soon as you are in a foreign country!

Anyway, I liked this little detail- so here it is...

These shots are not from Four O'Clock but just give an idea of the days' happenings... The first shot is at the Uffizi and the second is taken near Ponte Vecchio...
