Below is a rough sample of what I might try to do with the "fragmented portrait" idea... Usually there would be more than two images...

These shots illustrate a subtle case of parallax error (which is what happens when your shooting up close with a range finder/ twin lens)... It may not seem like a huge deal in this case (the original photo (below) cuts off part of the photo; the adjusted framing (top) captures more of the photo) but it does make a difference when shooting for very specific details...
This should help me to ensure my framing is correct.
Mission accomplished? Let's hope so!
